Mashreq Gas Market Project (Ongoing)

The Euro Arab-Mashreq Gas Market Project (www.eamgcc.org) aims to provide a Gas Master Plan for Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria that will: encourage network development around the Arab Gas Pipeline;  foster regulatory reform; and transfer know-how and expertise to the beneficiary countries. The project comprises of three primary components: (i) The elaboration of a regional gas masterplan; (ii) Training and know how transfer between the Consultant and the beneficiaries in each country; and (iii) a survey of the gas-related legislation in each country. The project is led by IPA, with inputs from the National Technical University of Athens and Penspen, The initial project will run until 2009 but an extension is currently being discussed.
