Study on the Implementation of the New EU Renewable Energy Directive

IPA has been commissioned by the Secretariat of the Energy Community of South East Europe to assess the effect of the new EU Renewable Energy Directive on the members of its Contracting Parties and candidate Contracting Parties. For each of these countries, key tasks involve:

• Assessment of the impact of the new EU Renewable Directive on Guarantee of Origin systems
• Analysis of existing renewable energy frameworks
• Developing an economic market model to forecast 2020 energy consumption – consistent with the EU 20% target, including a breakdown for all renewable energy and the calculation of 2020 targets
