  • Renewable energy sources for electricity as well as heating and cooling (past projects have covered onshore wind, biomass, municipal solid waste and landfill gas, PV & solar thermal, geothermal and hydrogen); and the broad field of marine energy, including offshore wind, wave and tidal;
  • Low carbon technologies, including CHP and, more recently, the expanding field of carbon capture and storage technologies;
