Commercial and Physical Operation of UK Energy Market

For the Commissioners and senior staff of the UK Competition Commission (the anti-trust authority) who were relatively new to energy market issues IPA prepared and delivered a short course training programme on the commercial and physical operation of the UK electricity and gas markets.

Recently IPA worked with senior managers from British Energy and from the UK operations of EdF who were not responsible for trading, in order to enhance their understanding of UK electricity market operations, the role of the trading function and risk management techniques.
