CHP Project Development

IPA Energy + Water Economics provided an assessment of the opportunities and risks associated with CHP development for an oil refinery, who were considering the possibility of building their own onsite station.  The work included an outline of the current UK electricity market in terms of policy and regulation, the trading market systems and details of the major participants in electricity supply and demand.  Additionally, we assessed the potential revenues, costs and charges associated with a number of different options for the refinery as well as outlining the transmission connection considerations.
