Organisational Restructuring

IPA Energy + Water Economics provides services in organisational restructuring to help our clients design and develop corporate entities to meet the changing operational and regulatory environments in which they work.  Examples range from:

• Assisting vertically integrated electricity utilities to unbundle elements of generation, transmission and distribution in response to changing market conditions;
• Working with specific departments in utilities, operational and corporate services, to improve efficiency, supported by organisational redesign;
• Designing new organisational structures such as newly created utility regulators, joint ventures, special purpose vehicles etc. through transitional arrangements at formation to fully independent organisations  with fully developed corporate governance structures;
• Reviewing effectiveness of individual and groups of-stakeholder organisations in a delivery of government policy in the energy sector.
