Bumbuna Hydro

IPA provided technical assistance to the Government of Sierra Leone on the establishment of institutional arrangements to support a Special Purpose Company and the preparation of documentation to complete and operate the Bumbuna hydro-electric project. Tasks included company formation and defining the governance arrangements, drafting of all agreements and contracts to facilitate completion of the plant including PPA and water management, and financial restructuring of the project and proposals for refinancing including fresh terms for existing lenders.
