British Individual of the Year 2005

British International Expertise

The British Individual of the Year Award 2005 for International Expertise, organised by the British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BCCB), was presented to senior consultant Peter Graham on the 24th November to IPA by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, for the company’s Tariff Policy and Utility Reform Project in Kyrgyzstan financed by the Department for International Development.

The project, led by Peter Graham, addressed the barriers to reform in a structured, systematic and highly innovative way, reducing the energy deficit by $32.7million, allowing the Kyrgyz government to redirect funds to education, health and other needs of the economy.

British Consultant of the Year 2004

British International Expertise

The British Consultancy Firm of the Year Award 2004 for International Expertise, organised by the British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BCCB), was presented on the 18th November to IPA by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, for the company’s Power Sector Technical Assistance programme in India’s second largest state of Madhya Pradesh, a project financed by the Department for International Development.

The wide ranging two year programme has reduced the deficit in the power sector by 60 per cent, saving the state £240 million in subsidies and releasing funds for health, education and other community programmes.

Queens Award for Enterprise 2003

In April 2003, IPA was awarded the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: 2003 for its success in overseas markets.

The award was presented to the IPA Managing Director Robert Yates, by His Royal Highness The Duke of York, at a ceremony held at IPA’s office in Manor Place in Edinburgh in November 2003.

UK Trade & Industry Interrnational Business of The Year Awards 2003

In October 2003, IPA were commended in the International Business Awards, which recognise the efforts of British companies within international markets. The awards are made by Trade Partners UK, the Government organisation within the Department of Trade & Industry that aims to support companies trading overseas.
